A sensory experience of mountain walking and in-situ contemporary art
An artistic and sensory experience in the heart of the largest open-air museum of contemporary art - that's what we're offering our students on this outing near Digne-les-Bains. The art created around Digne-les-Bains was designed to fit into a natural environment that is preserved but often abandoned by man - the world's first UNESCO Geopark. The works take on a new sense of rural development, bringing their own originality while retaining their specificity as "in situ" works. Encountering these works of art takes us through territories with a rich human past of life and work. They give our walks a purpose, but they don't dominate the environment. On the contrary, they blend in with it and ultimately enhance it, offering us the chance to take a fresh look at these landscapes and this life of yesterday! For whom? Students from Cycle 3 to Terminale Where? Vallée de Barles 20 minutes by bus from the center of Digne-les-Bains Subjects covered: SVT, Plastic arts, History, Physical and sports education, French. Objective: Using a sensitive approach centered on the senses and the art of breathing, the mountain leader will encourage students to go beyond simple observation and follow in the footsteps of two great walking artists (A. Goldsworthy and herman de vries), who see nature as a sacred place where man can fully find his place, provided he knows how to feel! On-demand stays, all year round (spring and autumn periods recommended)
