ART REFUGE AND SANCTUARY, IN THE AByss OF TIME "I see the landscape as a succession of layers in which I am the last stratum" (Andy Goldsworthy)
"my poetry is the world". Never have these words by herman de vries resonated more than in this wild valley. Lulled by the breath of the River Bès, we ascend on either side of the torrent in a geological setting where strata of all ages intermingle. Here, the colors of the rock meet those of the vegetation. Here, silence echoes the breath of the torrent. Here, art and nature take on their full meaning. An unforgettable adventure for the whole family. Over the course of a weekend, our itinerary will include two beautiful hikes. We'll discover geological wonders such as a million-year-old beach, as well as works by herman de vries, Andy Goldsworthy, Paul-Armand Gette and Joan Fontcuberta. Each of these artists, with his or her own eye, offers us a new view of the landscape. Sensitive, poetic or humorous. The highlight of our stay is an evening bivouac in a work of art: the Refuge d'art du Vieil Esclangon. Finally, we'll round off our stay with a visit to the Musée Gassendi, cradle of the Art en montagne collection, where we'll discover other works by these same artists. Programmed stays on request only, from April 1 to November 30, for groups of up to 10 people. Price on request for groups of less than 5 people.
