What to expect

In a setting forgotten by time, on the historic borders of Provence and the Duchy of Savoy, nestle hamlets deserted during the 20th century. As we set out to discover them, we'll follow paths steeped in history as far as Vière. In this special place, where untamed nature reclaims its rights, it is not without emotion that we walk through Edge-stones, the memorial work by Richard Nonas.

The artist's intervention is made up of four elements: the church, whose ruin offers a shelter to sleep in, and three alignments that underline the natural geography of the village and its links with the surrounding hamlets, which have now disappeared. Our itinerary begins not far from the village of Prads-Haute-Bléone. After meeting up, we'll head deep into the forest to reach Vière. The site and surrounding valleys are a haven of beauty and serenity. After discovering the artist's work, we'll set up camp for dinner and an overnight stay. The next day, a hike takes us to the sources of the Galèbre, in the foothills of the Trois Évêchés massif. Programmed stays on request only for groups of up to 10 people. Price on request for groups of less than 5 people.
