School trip land art and music

Meet at the thermal baths car park, in Digne-les-bains, from where we will leave for a short walk towards the Refuge d'art des bains thermaux Andy Goldsworthy ; first contact with land art and discovery of the site of Queen Jeanne's castle. Trip in the afternoon to Auzet (about 1 hour by bus), via a short stop in the clues of Verdaches for a most surprising encounter with a Hydropithecus by Joan Fontcuberta.

Hike from the centre, or to the Refuge d'art du Vieil Esclangon if you have an adapted vehicle, dotted with workshops for the sensitive discovery of the environment and land art; walking here is more of a pretext for awakening our curiosity and contemplation than a search for sporting achievements; picnic in nature and return to the Fontaine de l'Ours for a snack.

MTinee music and land art. In half groups, students will be able to learn how to listen to and create soundscapes and create a constructed work of land art in groups.

Afternoon: continuation and end of the making of the works and stroll through the ephemeral museum, photo of the works or nature activity of your choice.

Tidying up - Music workshop: restitution of the students' work.

Day 4 can be devoted in part to visiting the Gassendi Museum or the Promenade Museum in Digne-les-Bains. Guided tour with a discovery tour of the works adapted to the age of the students (price not included).

End of stay: schedule adapted to the teacher's request

The picnic on the first day is to be provided by you. Picnics for the following days are included in the price of the stay.

Every evening we will be accommodated at the Fontaine de l'ours: Open all year round, the Music and Nature center can accommodate up to a hundred people, is located at an altitude of 1200 m in Auzet, a small "eco-responsible" village of 98 inhabitants halfway between the lake of Serre-Ponçon and Digne-les-Bains.

Level, supervision and safety : The hikes are of an easy level, adapted to the size of the class and the age of the students, and supervised by a state-certified mountain guide, certified by the Gassendi Museum, equipped with an emergency kit to take care of first aid in the event of an accident, as well as the necessary means to notify the rescue.

The workshops are supervised by a music speaker and a nature animator.

During the hikes, we provide 1 animator and 1 guide per class.

Workshops

Materials and equipment to be provided for each student : sneakers or small walking shoes, a backpack (large enough to carry at least a picnic, a water bottle and a jacket), a water bottle of at least one liter, a waterproof and windproof jacket, a small fleece (even in summer), clothes adapted to the season, a cap, sunglasses, sunscreen.
